Kamaya Howard is an Analyst at GLS Capital and supports the underwriting team throughout the diligence process.
Kamaya started at GLS Capital in the summer of 2022 after graduating from University of Illinois Chicago, where she was a student in the Honors College and an Urban Public Policy Fellow. As an undergraduate, Kamaya conducted research projects that advocated for marginalized communities in Chicago, including an award-winning Honors College Capstone Thesis. Prior to joining GLS, Kamaya was an intern at the Chicago Justice Project, a nonprofit organization that uses evidence-based analysis to empower communities to challenge justice system policies and practices. Kamaya is a first-generation college graduate and plans to continue her studies by pursuing a career in law.
Kamaya holds a B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Justice from University of Illinois Chicago.
