GLS Capital announced that the firm and its co-founders and Managing Directors Adam Gill and David Spiegel have been highly ranked in the 2023 Chambers Litigation Support USA guide.
GLS is ranked for the fourth consecutive year in the Nationwide Litigation Funding category. Additionally, both the firm and Gill received Chambers’ highest ranking of Band 1 in Nationwide Litigation Funding: Intellectual Property for the third consecutive year. This is the second year in a row David Spiegel has been individually ranked.
“We are honored and grateful for Chambers’ repeated recognition of the entire GLS team as leaders in the litigation finance industry,” said Gill.
The Chambers Litigation Support USA guide describes GLS as a “notable funder of single-matter and portfolio arrangements and provides funding for commercial litigation, arbitrations, and complex intellectual property cases.”
According to the 2023 Chambers Litigation Support USA guide, “The core GLS team are very savvy and businesslike in their approach. They not only respond to but proactively raise helpful commercial considerations for an array of matters.” Others praised the GLS team as “extremely sophisticated.”
The 2023 Chambers Litigation Support USA guide notes Spiegel, who leads the firm’s commercial litigation investments, as “a very effective big-picture thinker” and the driving force behind the firm’s “carefully considered funding strategy.” Gill, who leads GLS’ patent investments, was described as “the foremost IP funder around. He has seen it all and I think they do exceedingly well in the IP space.”
